Grab your racket, tighten those laces, and get ready to step into the court of Badminton Time VR as the Meta Quest title by developers Fishing Cactus and publisher Decathlon will be digitally launching on PSVR2 this summer with a physical version arriving shortly after, announces Perp Games.
Serves up!
Serving up a heap of realistic gameplay, tournaments, and arcade minigames, Badminton VR invites all players, from novice to expert, to travel the world and harness their skills in the arcade motion title. Featuring immersive and vibrant environments, including the Grand Canyon, Japanese Garden, and Paradise Island, the successful Meta Quest title launched in October 2024 includes a gym bag’s worth of fun sporting action.
Smash Hits
In Badminton Time’s realistic gameplay, each match delivers top-notch, real-world simulation physics, whether sitting or standing. Need to learn the basics? Swing into Training Mode and take on the AI as you learn all the moves to win a match and come out victorious! Customizable avatars will keep you feeling fresh as you hone your backhand skills to perfection while sporting funky outfits, glasses, hats, and rackets.
What's all that racket?
If rain clouds, sticky octopuses, and ghost shuttlecocks won't get in your way, then try Badminton Times’ Arcade Games. During arcade gameplay, each player can serve to earn a power item or speciality shot to distract, hinder, or blindside their opponent.
Five Mini Games can be played against friends, other players, or the AI to test your badminton skills. Enter the coconut shy and rack up points for each numbered tin you smash off the hooks, or tackle the slinky bomb snake, challenging players to precise their hits as they take him out one hit at a time. Pesky pop-up pirates and treacherous bombs await in a variety of skill-pushing sessions.
Whose tourn is it?
Those up for a tougher challenge can take on friends, AI, or other players from around the world in 1v1 or 2v2 Tournaments. Players who have put in the work can flaunt their prowess in the full-court game mode. Those minigames aren't just for fun! Putting in the practice to hit targets at different heights, speeds, and distances will be essential to climb to the top of the leaderboards.
